HPF has exciting new developments for New Year
Hari tau hou tātou kātoa - Happy New Year everyone!
We hope you had a good break over the festive season and took some time out to refocus on your health and wellbeing. We’re sure you, like us, are now ready to take on anything the New Year brings with gusto!
We have some exciting developments happening this year including the establishment of the National Accreditation Organisation (NAO) for Aotearoa New Zealand.
To start in July, this new service will assess and formally acknowledge health promoters who will register – for their professional integrity and ongoing development - while the wellbeing and safety of the community is ensured.
The approval of HPF by the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE) to become an NAO is a ‘significant milestone’ for health promotion in this country’. Of extra significance, is that IUHPE has accepted Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the socio-political and cultural contexts of our country, as unique components for our own framework in New Zealand.
Keep an eye out for more updates on our social media platforms, and here on our website.
Dates for the Certificate of Achievement in Introducing Health Promotion Level 4 (CoA) offered by HPF, and the Manukau Institute of Technology have been scheduled for this year and you can view them HERE.
Registration link for the first CoA to commence with the Intake 1 on April 9 will be sent out via email on Feb 13, and posted on our platforms shortly after.
We’ll also be announcing the guest speakers and topic for our next webishop soon.
