Public Social Media Moderation Policy

To enhance the sharing of health promotion knowledge and news, and to encourage networking and collaboration within and beyond the health promotion workforce and sector, HPF utilises social media.

HPF maintains active social media accounts on Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. We regularly post and share content and invite respectful engagement with us.

Our content includes our training activities, the latest in health promotion news and events/conferences nationally and internationally, and other content aligned with our mission/values.

What to expect from us:

HPF’s social media accounts are moderated by HPF’s Communications Advisor.

We want our social media channels to be a positive and conducive environment for healthy discourse and positive engagement, ensuring it aligns with HPF's values, community guidelines, privacy, and legal obligations.

To maintain a safe online environment, content is regularly monitored through addressing member concerns and queries, and ensuring all posts adhere to the forum discussion rules.

We reserve the right to remove posts and comments and block problematic members.

What we expect from you:

We encourage open discussion and healthy debate, but we ask that all users engage respectfully and in good faith. Please be aware that we reserve the right to decide whether a comment or post breaches our guidelines

To protect our online community, we require everyone to show respect for all by not posting content that violates our constitutional values or social media policy (e.g., hate speech, discrimination, spam, offensive language).

As well as the above, all content is subject to each platform's own community standards. You can read more for each platform here:
