Our Training Offerings

Certificate of Achievement in Introducing Health Promotion Level 4 (CoA)

Ready for a comprehensive introduction to health promotion? Our Certificate of Achievement, jointly offered with Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT), provides an interactive, structured learning experience that students describe as "eye-opening" and "the perfect introduction to health promotion.

What you'll gain:

  • Deep understanding of health promotion principles, concepts and practice
  • Knowledge of the Ottawa Charter and Te Tiriti o Waitangi's relationship to health promotion
  • Insight into the determinants of health and achieving health equity
  • Practical skills aligned with Ngā Kaiakatanga Hauora mo Aotearoa (Health Promotion Competencies for Aotearoa New Zealand)
  • Valuable connections with the health promotion community

Course structure: Two interactive four-day blocks (online) plus self-directed learning – 100 hours total

Webishops - Online Educational Workshops

Online Courses - Self-Paced Professional Development

Build your foundation in health promotion through our comprehensive online courses, delivered via our user-friendly iQualify platform. Designed for both newcomers and experienced practitioners, these courses are matched to the NZQA framework and perfect for continuous professional development (CPD).

Three distinct streams:

  • Mainstream Health Promotion – Western-based principles and frameworks
  • Māori Health Promotion – Māori models, values and approaches
  • Pasifika Health Promotion – Pacific perspectives and practices

Available levels: Foundation (Level 1), and Intermediate (Level 2). Advanced (Level 3) coming soon
